About the Business
Back on the Rack Ladies Upscale Consignment first opened in 2012. The store won 1st place in Charlotte Sun’s Reader’s Choice Award for 2013 and 2014 and Harbor Style’s Harbor’s Hottest for 2014 and 2015. Located at 208 Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda, at the corner of N. Hwy 41 and Marion Avenue, it is a favorite of both downtown and area shoppers. Drive North on 41 before crossing the bridge to Port Charlotte and you pass Back on the Rack. The shop was sold to the current owner in mid-2015.
Back on the Rack carries upscale and casual women’s clothing with an impressive list of designer labels. Popular Back on the Rack labels include Chicos, White House/Black Market, Jones New York, Ann Taylor, Dana Buchman, St. John, Christian Dior, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, Talbot’s, and many, many more! Every item that is consigned with the store is scrutinized to ensure it has absolutely no stains, tears, or defects. You can shop comfortably knowing the clothing is clean, pressed and ready to be taken home and loved.
About the Owner
Ann Jones purchased Back on the Rack in 2015. She brings over 20 years of corporate and retail experience to her customers and consignors. Ann graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts and from the University of Miami with a Masters in Business Administration.
Her love of fashion and understanding of industry trends and contemporary designers makes Back on the Rack an unusually upscale consignment shop for women. And. . .it’s a different store everyday.
Back on the Rack gives back to the community through two primary charities: God’s Precious Gifts, and the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte Animal Welfare League. The store also has consignor accounts for St. Vincent de Paul, Animal Welfare League, and other charities that receive checks for the items that sell in their accounts.
Ann is originally from Pinehurst, NC but now lives in Punta Gorda, FL with her husband and 4 cats.
